Pillar III: Governance
This pillar explores various forms of market governance and their impact on economic systems. It examines different political structures such as democracy, monarchy, theocracy, and anarchy which is characterized by the absence of a governing authority and a reliance on spontaneous order. The pillar also critically addresses the concept of property rights, questioning traditional views of homesteading, seasteading and airsteading and introducing alternative ways of establishing ownership and resource use. Furthermore, it investigates market-based solutions to common economic challenges, including externalities, public goods, common resources, and monopolies.
