The Carl Menger Institute

Vision:

At the Carl Menger Institute, we envision the flourishing of economic science—grounded in sound epistemology, clear methodology, and the reality of human action.

A world where the creative individual understood as the surest path to expanding the means by which all people may fulfill their diverse desires.

Where voluntary exchange transforms human difference and subjective preference into mutual benefit, and the free market stands recognized as humanity’s greatest instrument of peace, prosperity, and coordination.

Mission:

We share insight into human nature—not dogma.

Our academic program guides a new generation of thinkers to be able to dismantle fallacies; reject interventionist myths; and understand the social order that best unleashes creativity, expands individual choice, and accelerates the growth of knowledge.

Rather than lament the failures of academia, we transform it into something truer, freer, and more human.

History:

Founded in late 2024 by Prof. Daron Djerdjian, Ethan Akimoto, and Peter Vartanian, the Menger Institute draws on the intellectual legacy of Carl Menger—founder of Austrian economics—to illuminate market phenomena through the lens of praxeonomy. In January 2025, the Institute launched its program in market economics, Menger Academy.
