The Carl Menger Institute
Vision:
At the Carl Menger Institute, we believe education should bring clarity not confusion, curiosity not conformity.
We envision a world in which economic understanding is grounded in the realities of human action, not unrealistic models or political engineering. A world where the free market is recognized not as a problem to be corrected, but as the greatest force for prosperity, peace, and social harmony.
Mission:
To advance a market-based understanding of economic life, rooted in human action, entrepreneurial discovery, and the coordinating power of voluntary exchange.
Rather than lament the failures of mainstream academia, we are building something better: an intellectual community that defends the free market as the most effective force for prosperity, peace, and social cooperation.
Our academic program provides the rigorous intellectual foundation for a new generation of thinkers to challenge economic fallacies, reject interventionist myths, and promote a social order grounded in liberty, ownership, and individual responsibility.
History:
Founded in 2024 by Prof. Daron Djerdjian, Ethan Akimoto, and Peter Vartanian, the Menger Institute builds upon the intellectual legacy of Austrian Economist Carl Menger to illuminate market phenomena through the lens of praxeonomy. Later that year, the Institute launched its diploma program in market economics, Menger Academy.
